Once again, the world of Pokemons sweeps us off our feet. Well, this applies if you were old enough to catch the Pokemon Cards frenzy. If not, Pokemon Go and what you’ve heard from your parents or older siblings should be enough to convince you that this is a great world and you should try our best to catch’em all.
Basically, Pokemon Go, is a virtual reality game that is layered over our real world using augmented reality. Users use their phones to find Pokemons wherever they go. Once caught, creatures need to be trained by either fighting other users or gathering points. The logic is simple, but the simple fact that it got everyone out, looking for Pokemons is a real miracle.
Still, even though the game sounds simple enough, there are a few tricks and tips that might come in handy (especially if you’re a beginner). So, let’s take a look at how you can improve your game and gameplay with just a few tricks.
Keep the app up to date
We know, it’s a given. However, many like to block update notifications and they forget to look for one from time to time. Developers at Poekmon Go are constantly working on improving the app, adding new features, and making it more stable. So, just for this, you should leave the notifications on.
Pikachu is one of the most desired Pokemons out there, but it’s also one of the rarest. Still, you can get it as your starter Pokemon if you refuse the first 3 that come your way. To refuse the first 3 that show up (Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle) simply walk away from them. Once you refused each of the 3 separately, they will show up again. Continue to walk away several times until you find Pikachu.
Don’t stay in one place
The map is divided into sectors and each sector has its Pokemons. So, if you feel you have too many of a certain kind, diversify the location. Walk in different areas of the city and look for different Pokemons in various neighborhoods.
Catching a Pokemon
Not all Pokemons are easy to catch and, as you advance, you’ll find some that require more than one or two Pokeballs. To make sure you’re not wasting your Pokeballs, keep close attention to the ring you use as a pointer. If it’s green then the catch will be easy. However, if it’s yellow or red, you might need more balls.
Doubles are good
If you find two or three Zubats, don’t be afraid to actually catch them all. Doubles are useful in Pokemon Go as you can trade them for candy. These are great for the Pokemons you decide to keep as you can help them evolve. To transfer one Pokemon out, simply click the Pokeball icon, select Pokemon and then Transfer.
